Resources For Elderly Care
Elderly care is a term that covers a wide range of services for senior citizens who need some assistance in meeting the needs of their daily lives. Such services can be minimal, such as help with grocery shopping, bill paying, house keeping, or medication management. Eldercare also includes assisted living, long term care, adult day care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care.
Changes in greater life expectancy, decreased family size, scattering of family members, and women working outside of the home have lead to changes in the way the elderly are cared for in European and North American countries. Increasingly, these changes are affecting Asian countries as well.
